Building, H.V.A.C, Plumbing, Gas and Electrical Permit Repealing Bylaw
BEING A BYLAW OF THE CITY OF CHESTERMERE, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA,
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENTACT, BEING
CHAPTER M-26 OF THE REVISED STATUTES OF ALBERTA 2000 AND AMENDMENTS
THERETO, TO PROVIDE FOR THE REPEAL OF THE BYLAW #024-16, KNOWN AS THE
BUILDING, HVAC, PLUMBING, GAS AND ELECTRICAL PERMIT BYLAW
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 191 of the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, Chapter
M-26, Council has the power to pass a Bylaw, amend or repeal a Bylaw in the same way as
the original Bylaw and is subject to the same consents or conditions or advertising
requirements;
AND WHEREAS the City of Chestermere deems it desirable to repeal Bylaw #024-16,
known as the Building, HVAC, Plumbing, Gas, and Electrical Permit Bylaw;
NOW, THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHESTERMERE, DULY
ASSEMBLED, HEREBY ENACTS THE FOLLOWING:
1.
TITLE
1.1 This Bylaw may be cited as the "Building, HVAC, Plumbing, Gas and Electrical
Permit Repealing Bylaw."
2.
PURPOSE
2.1 The following Bylaw is hereby repealed:
a.
Bylaw#024-16, known as the Building, HVAC, Plumbing, Gas and
Electrical Permit Bylaw.
3.
SEVERABILITY AND GENERAL PROVISIONS
3.1
If any part of this Bylaw is found by any court of law to be invalid or beyond the
authority of the Council to enact, such parts shall be deemed severable, and all
other Sections or parts of this Bylaw shall be considered separate and
independent from them and enacted as such.
3.2 Words in the singular include the plural and words in the plural include the
singular.
3.3 This Bylaw is gender-neutral and, accordingly, any reference to one gender
includes all others.
3.4 This Bylaw comes into force on the date of third and final reading.
