A Bylaw of Cypress County in the Province of Alberta to establish speed limits.
Being a Bylaw of Cypress County, in the Province of Alberta, to establish maximum speed limits.
WHEREAS, provisions of the Traffic Safety Act, being Chapter T-6 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta, 2000, and
amendments thereto, authorizes the Council to establish maximum speed limits for highways subject to its direction,
control and management; and
WHEREAS, the Council of Cypress County, deems it advisable to establish maximum speed limits for highways
subject to such direction, control and management.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of Cypress County, in the Province of Alberta, duly assembled, enacts as follows:
1.
THAT a maximum speed limit of eighty (80) kilometres per hour be established for all highways subject to
the direction, control and management of Cypress County, in the Province of Alberta, EXCEPT, on
highways as established and described in Schedule "A" attached to and forming a part of this Bylaw.
2. THAT the proper speed limit sign postings be established therefor.
3. THAT this Bylaw shall take effect at the final passing thereof.
4. THAT Bylaw 2024/16 is hereby repealed.
