Do I need a dog licence? What are the leash rules?
In the Municipal District of Leduc County, Alberta, dogs & animal control rules are set by Bylaw 01-24: Dog Control, verified 2026-09-27. Fines: not less than that established in Schedule "A" and not exceeding $10,000.00. Leash rule: No dog shall be at large; off property must be carried or restrained by leash no more than two (2) meters. Max animals: three (3) dogs (less than five (5) acres); five (5) dogs (five (5) acres or more).
