Land Use Bylaw exempts gates, fences and walls from needing a development permit when under 1.8m in the portion not extending past the house's front wall, or under 1m where they do extend past it; no fence, hedge, shrub or tree may be placed within a corner-lot sight triangle if it interferes with traffic safety.
