Permits & Fees
**Application Fees**
All Applicants, except those listed in section 2 of this schedule A, shall pay $50 at the time of application. The following business types shall pay the fee as indicated:
* Non-Profit Organizations: $0
* Special Event Mobile Vendor: $150
* Retail Cannabis stores & Liquor Store(s): $350
**The Regular Business License Fee in the City of Greenwood shall be $100.00.**
For Regular Business License renewals, the Regular Business License fee will be modified as follows:
* Where the Applicant renews their Business License prior to expiry, the Regular Business License Fee will be $90.00 (10% discount).
* Where a Business has continued to operate but the Applicant has failed to renew their Regular Business License by March 1 of each year, the Regular Business License fee will be $120.00 (a 20% penalty).
License Fees are pro-rated 50% for new businesses who apply after October 1st.
A Seasonal Business License fee shall be $75.00.
The fee to transfer a license to a new person shall be $25.00.
Non-profit organizations will not be charged a license fee.
Building permits are managed by the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB). Fees are outlined in the City of Greenwood Building Amendment Bylaw No. 785.

Dog licences are required annually, with fees subject to change. Below are the fees for 2022:
### January 1-31, 2022
* Neutered Male: $15.00
* Spayed Female: $15.00
* Intact Male: $25.00
* Intact Female: $25.00
### February 1-December 31, 2022
* Neutered Male: $30.00
* Spayed Female: $30.00
* Intact Male: $40.00
* Intact Female: $40.00

Applications for a Licence to Use and Occupy are available at Greenwood City Hall.
Applications for Temporary Use Permits are available at Greenwood City Hall.
Garbage collection requires stickers, priced at $3.00 per bag, available at:
* Greenwood City Hall
* Greenwood Groceries
**Curbside Pickup**: Place garbage at the curb by 8:00 AM on collection day.

Sprinkling and irrigation are permitted daily during the following hours, unless otherwise posted at City Hall:
* Morning: 7:00 AM-9:00 AM
* Evening: 7:00 PM-9:00 PM
