BY-LAW 209 A BY-LAW PROVIDING FOR THE PROTECTION OF TREES FROM INSECT DAMAGE BE IT ENACTED by the Mayor and the Councillors of the Town of Oromocto as follows: 1. In this By-Law "Public Works Superintendent" means the Head of the Public Works Department of the Town of Oromocto. 2. For the purpose of protecting trees on public and private lands in the Town of Oromocto from insect pests, the Public Works Department of the said Town or any person designated by the Town Council of the said Town for that purpose, may, under the control and direction of the Public Works Superintendent, remove dead wood from, prune, or spray any tree or trees within the Town of Oromocto whether on public or private property. 3. Nothing in this By- Law shall be deemed to authorize the cutting down of any tree from private property without the permission of the owner thereof.
