## Emergency Measures Designate Policy The Town of Antigonish Regional Emergency Measures Bylaw allows for the Mayor or a designate from Town Council to declare, renew or terminate a state of local emergency in certain situations. It shall be the Policy of the Town of Antigonish that if the Mayor is unavailable to act, that the Deputy Mayor or any of those Councillor(s) appointed to the Regional Emergency Measures Advisory Committee shall be considered as designates and any one (1) of them may perform those functions as noted in clauses 17 to 19 of this Bylaw.
