MUNICIPALITY OF THE COUNTY OF PICTOU
INDIVIDUAL SEWER GRINDER PUMPS MAINTENANCE POLICY
The Municipality of the County of Pictou hereby enacts the following maintenance policy
for individual sewer grinder pumps and pressure sewer systems to be used in the
Municipality of the County of Pictou:
Where the Municipal Engineer deems that sewer service to individual properties is
to be completed with the use of an individual grinder pump and a pressure sewer
system,
1.
The pump core and alarm panel shall be covered for
manufacturer defects by the manufacturer for a period
determined at the time of purchase from the supplier of the
pumps to the Municipality.
2.
The Municipality shall extend the same conditions of the
manufacturer's warranty for an additional period of time, said
time not exceeding 15 years from the time the pump is first
put into service or that service was deemed to be provided to
property.
REPEAL
All former policies and/or practices heretofore enacted with respect to maintenance
of individual sewer grinder pumps are hereby repealed.
