POLICY # 99-07-06
MUNICIPALITY OF THE COUNTY OF PICTOU
DANGEROUS OR UNSIGHTLY PREMISES POLICY
In accordance with the provisions of Section 345(1 ) of the Municipal Government
Act, being Chapter 18 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1998, the Municipal Council
for the Municipality of the County of Pictou hereby enacts a policy with respect to
dangerous or unsightly premises as follows:
1 . With the exception of the authority to order demolition, Municipal Council hereby
delegates to the administrator, appointed in accordance with the requirements of
Section 41 of this Act, all of its authority pursuant to Part XV of the Act.
2. All former policies heretofore enacted with respect to the authority of the administrator
for dangerous or unsightly premises are hereby repealed.
