MUNICIPALITY OF THE COUNTY OF PICTOU
CONSTRUCTION TENDERS SAFETY RECOGNITION POLICY
PURPOSE
To establish a uniform policy for the recognition of safety certifications for
construction tenders awarded by the Municipality of the County of Pictou.
POLICY
Effective July 3, 2001 , all firms or businesses tendering for construction projects
within the Municipality of the County of Pictou shall have, or show proof that they are in
the process of receiving a Certificate of Recognition from a safety training organization
accredited by the Nova Scotia Department of Environment & Labour to provide such
recognition.
All other policies with respect to construction tenders safety recognition, including
the resolution of Council dated August 6, 1996, are hereby repealed.
