ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY NO. 18
RESPECTING THE TERM OF OFFICE FOR DEPUTY MAYOR
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 16(2) of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter 18 of
the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1998, the Council of the Region of Queens Municipality
must determine the term of office of the Deputy Mayor prior to the selection of the
Deputy Mayor;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Region of Queens
Municipality, pursuant to Part 1 of the Municipal Government Act, approve the term of
office for the position of Deputy Mayor as two (2) years with the first term to expire on
October 31st, 2006 and the second term to expire on October 31st, 2008.
THIS IS TO CERTIFY this Administrative Policy No. 18 was approved by the Council of
the Region of Queens Municipality at a duly constituted meeting of said Council held on
the 9th day of November, 2004.
