e - iy, held February 27, 2023.
1. PURPOSE
1.1
The purpose is to establish a policy to provide opportunity for engagement with

and the Municipality of the County of Inverness. The aim of early engagement is to
reduce land-use conflict and increase cooperative opportunities. Council supports
municipal engagement when adopting and amending municipal planning strategies.
Although the Potlotek First Nation is not a municipality, the Municipality of the
County of Richmond wishes to notify and encourage discussion when planning
decisions that may impact this community.
2. PRINCIPLES OF THE POLICY

amendment of a Municipal Planning Strategy is proposed, Council shall seek input
from the following abutting municipalities:

b) Cape Breton Regional Municipality
c) Municipality of the County of Inverness
2.2
Although the Potlotek First Nation is not a municipality, the Municipality of the
County of Richmond wishes to notify and encourage discussion when planning
