## POLICY-TAX SALES

Tax Sales
Preamble:
It shall be a Policy of Council that yearly Tax Sale procedures commence on August 1st
Terms:
In order to determine uncollectible taxes yearly, Staff is required to proceed with tax sale on August 1st ". This will enable sufficient time to determine through Legal Counsel the yearly uncollectibles prior to the year-end audit. According to changes in the Municipal Accounting and Reporting Manual of June 14, 2001 the Valuation Allowance shall reflect only the uncollectibles as determined by the Municipal Solicitor listing after Search has been conducted.
