Proclamation Policy
## Policy Objective
The purpose of the Proclamation Policy is to:
1. Provide a clear and consistent approach to Council regarding the requests for Proclamations in the Town of Stewiacke.
2. Provide staff with direction on how to respond to requests for Proclamations.
## Policy
The Town of Stewacke will not entertain any request for Proclamations. All requests received at the Town will be responded to in writing by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) indicating that the policy is in effect and that the request will not be brought forward for Council's consideration.
The Town may promote the cause related to the proclamation request in other ways such as posting information on the Town's website. The CAO will make this decision on a case by case basis.
