In the City of Brampton, Ontario, fences & pool enclosures rules are set by Pool Enclosure By-law 202-2011, verified 2026-08-28. A permit is required. Pool enclosure: Enclosure must surround pool, height 1.2m to 2m, gates self-closing, self-latching and locked. Prohibited materials: barbed wire, devices for projecting an electric current through the fence, or devices having similar dangerous characteristics.
