In the City of Brant, Ontario, fences & pool enclosures rules are set by Municipal Swimming Pool Enclosure By-law 134-23 (as amended by By-law 55-25), verified 2026-09-25. A permit is required. Pool enclosure: Minimum 1.53m height. Gates require self-closing hardware and self-latching device at least 1.22m above ground on pool side. Prohibited materials: Barbed wire or electrification.
