How tall can my fence be? Do I need a fence around my pool?
In the Township of Chatsworth, Ontario, fences & pool enclosures rules are set by Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2025-12, verified 2026-09-21. Pool enclosure: fence of at least 1.5 metres in height and located at a distance of not less than 1.5 metres and not more than 4.5 metres from the pool. Sight triangle: Fences exceeding 1 metre in height above the elevation of the street line are prohibited. Prohibited materials: Shipping containers shall not be used for fencing.
