In the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley, Ontario, fences & pool enclosures rules are set by By-law 01-14 - A By-law to Regulate Outdoor Swimming Pools and 1 other bylaw, verified 2026-09-25. A permit is required. Pool enclosure: Minimum 1.2 m (4 feet) height. Gates self-closing, self-latching device placed at top inside, minimum 1 m above grade. Prohibited materials: have no barbed wire or similar dangerous characteristics and shall have no device for projecting an electric current.
