In the Town of Goderich, Ontario, backyard hens & livestock rules are set by Animal Care and Control By-Law No. 111 of 2026, Part 11 - Backyard Hens, verified 2026-09-25. Max hens: four (4) hens. Livestock rule: No person shall possess or harbour any domestic fowl, cattle, goats, swine, horses, mink, domestic bees or foxes within the municipality. Setback: Minimum 1.5 metres from any lot line; minimum 3 metres from any lot line abutting a school or place of worship.
