In the Town of Lincoln, Ontario, dogs & animal control rules are set by Animal Care and Control By-law No. 2019-18, verified 2026-09-25. A licence is required. Leash rule: Dogs must be on a leash not exceeding 5 metres, held by a person; no running at large except in designated off-leash areas. Max animals: 3 dogs, 4 cats, and/or 3 of another domestic animal over 10 weeks of age.
