It is managed through the Township of Stirling-Rawdon and the Joint Board. Building Inspection Staff are in Madoc Township one day per week to facilitate building service needs. ##### **BUILDING DEPARTMENT HOURS FOR THE MADOC TOWNSHIP OFFICE: WEDNESDAYS - 1:00pm to 4:00pm.** Building and plumbing permit fee revenues pay for all costs (wages, benefits, vehicle expenses, etc.) associated with providing the Council approved levels of building inspection service in the municipality. Any revenue surplus in any given year is placed in a reserve for use only by the Building Section in future years. The Building Section is responsible for administering building and plumbing permits under the *Ontario Building Code Act*, including: * Meeting with clients to review Building Code and application requirements; * Reviewing and processing building permit applications and building plans; * Collecting building permit fees and Development Charges; * Conducting site inspections for Building Code compliance; and * Responding to inquires from citizens, builders and others regarding the Building Code and the Municipal building and development program. ##### **BUILDING PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS** Building Permits are now submitted online! To submit a Building Permit Application, you must first create an account. Please visit and register for Cloudpermit by following the provided link: **Cloudpermit - Log in.** Once an account is created, you will be able to apply for permits fully online. Homeowners are responsible for getting the appropriate permits and approvals as deemed necessary. Cloudpermit Benefits and TIPS ##### **THE BENEFITS** 1. **Anytime, Anywhere:** You can access Cloudpermit on your phone, tablet or computer! 2. **Easy Payments:** Cloudpermit offers secure online payment options! 3. **Efficient Inspections:** After your building permit is issued, you can request the required inspections online! 4. **Faster Process:** Online building permits are issue up to 80% faster than paper permits! 5. **Easier Communication:** Communication with the building department is easy when its all in one place! ##### **TIPS** * Depending on the Project Type you select, the Category Work Type and Work Target will change; * After you select your Project Type, be sure to read through all the available Categories to ensure you select the correct one; * For example, if you are installing a new septic at your home, you would select the Category of Sewage System and not the Category of Residential Building; * The next step for your application is to attach all required documents, and ensure that you have all the required information attached in your application, otherwise you will be unable to submit it; * Before your permit is issued, all applicable fees must be paid; * Once your permit has been issued, you can download it directly from Cloudpermit; * Each project requires specific inspections and are booked directly through Cloudpermit or by calling 1-(866)-414-0088; and * Please note that your permit can be revoked if the required inspections are not completed.
