In the Municipality of Whitestone, Ontario, dogs & animal control rules are set by By-law No. 17-2022 - The regulating of dogs, verified 2026-09-25. Fines: maximum as provided for in the Provincial Offences Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P. 33. A licence is required. Leash rule: No owner shall allow their dog to run at large within the Municipality; off property must be under control of a capable person.
