# Municipal Information * Council News & Minutes * Bylaws * Councillors The Council, consisting of our mayor, six councillors and an administrator, is the governing body for the Rural Municipality of Clyde River, and operates under the Government of Prince Edward Island's Department of Housing, Land and Communities. **Council meetings take place on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Riverview Community Centre at 6:30 pm, and are open to the public.** The meeting dates for the 2026-27 fiscal year are: April 8, 2026 May 13, 2026 June 10,2026 September 9, 2026 October 14, 2026 November 10. 2026 December 9, 2026 January 13, 2027 February 10, 2027 March 10, 2027 Pre-Budget March 24, 2027 Budget ## Community Council Updates Meeting agendas, financials, bylaws, and council news. I live on Alexander Drive with my wife Cynthia and our two sons Samuel and Simon. I decided for this term to offer for the position of Mayor of the Municipal Council, as I really enjoyed my term as Councillor. It is a great learning experience and a privilege to represent the constituents of Clyde River. I grew up in Cornwall PEI and moved to Clyde River in 1997, where I currently reside. I joined Council to share my experience and knowledge to help the Community of Clyde River adapt to change and to hopefully provide a future that will suit current and future land owners. Residents and businesses as best as possible. I have three grown children, two grandchildren and three great -grand- children. I am a volunteer with the ALS Society of PEI and a board member and volunteer with the APM Centre, Communities 13 Inc. I am currently employed with Efficiency PEI. I am looking forward to being on the Clyde River Community Council. "* ![Catharine Murray Grandjean](https://clyderiverpei.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Catharine-Murray-Grandjean.jpg) ##### Councillor ### Catherine Murray-Grandjean *After living in Clyde River as a teenager, Catherine earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in marketing and French at Mount Allison University in Sackville. She spent three years in Toronto, then moved to France and worked nearby at UNICEF in Geneva. In 1998 she returned home to Clyde River with her family and continued working in marketing. "I love Clyde River and all the beauty this special rural community offers each of us. I operated a Machine Design and manufacturing business in Richmond Hill Ontario for 30+ years. After wintering in Arizona for 15 years, I moved with my family back to PEI in 2016. I am a member of Clyde River Presbyterian Church and serve on their Board of Managers.
