In the Cree village of Chisasibi, Quebec, dogs & animal control rules are set by Cree Nation of Chisasibi Law No. 2018-003 respecting the care and control of animals, verified 2026-06-14. Fines: Not more than $2,000.00 or imprisonment not exceeding 6 months, or both. A licence is required. Leash rule: No owner shall permit an animal to be outside a dwelling unless under control of a person or tied or securely restrained within confines of owner's premises.
