BYLAW 02-2025
A BYLAW OF THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF BLUCHER, NO.
343 TO REGULATE THE SPEED OF MOTOR VEHICLES
Pursuant to Section 8 of the Municipalities Act the Council of the Rural Municipality of
Blucher #343 in the Province of Saskatchewan enacts as follows
1.
In this bylaw the expression
a)
"public highway" shall have the meaning ascribed to it by the Highway
Traffic Act:
b)
" motor vehicle " shall have the meaning ascribed to it by the Highway and
Traffic Act
2.
No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a speed greater than 50 kilometres per
hour on that portion of a public highway described as:
a)
WSW of Section 15-35-03 W3
b)
Thru SE 16 35-03 W3
c)
Thru NE 18-35-03 W3
d)
West of Section 30, 31-36-02-W3
e)
Thru Section 15-36-03 W3
f)
Thru 25-36-03 W3
g)
Thru 26-36-03 W3
h)
Thru 35-36-03 W3
i)
Thru W of NW ½ of 31-36-03 W3 to Highway #5
j)
Thru LSD 2 & 7 SE 20-35-03-W3
k)
West of Section 18, 19, 30, 31-36-03 W3

No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a speed greater than 40 kilometres per
hour on that portion of a gravel road described as:
a)
NW and SW of Section 34-36-02 W3 (Meadowlark Estates)
These signs are located:
NW 34-36-02 W3 WNN South Bound off Highway #5
NW 34-36-02 W3 SWW East Bound off Blucher Road
There is one sign installed at the West Exit and one sign installed at the
North East Exit.

No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a speed greater than 50 kilometres per
hour on that portion of a gravel road described as:
a)
West of 18 and 19-36-03 W3 (Tuscan Area Highway 394 to 8th Street)
These signs are located:
By Hwy 394 at SW 18-36-03 W3
By 8th Street Priddy Road at NE 24-36-04 W3 (Corman Park Side)
There is one sign installed at the 8th Street Priddy Road South to Hwy 394
on 3040 and posted at Highway #5 at 8th Street and Hwy # 394.

No person shall operate a motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight in excess of
5,000 kg at a speed greater than 60 kilometres per hour on that portion of a public
highway described as:
a)
N of NE, NW 08-35-03 W3 (Prairie Steel Lane)
b)
N of NE, NW 07-35-03 W3 (Prairie Steel Lane)

No person shall operate a motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight in excess of
5,000 kg at a speed greater than 60 kilometres per hour on that portion of a gravel
road described as:
a)
E of 05 & 08-35-03 W3
b)
NE 08-35-03 W3 (Range Road 3034 - Bentley Road to Township Road 350)
(Erixon Corner)
c)
SW 04-35-03 W3 (Range Road 3064 - Bentley Road from Township Road
350 to Township Road 352)
7.
No person shall operate a motor vehicle that weighs over 10 tonnes at a speed
greater than 60 kilometres per hour on any road in this municipality which is not a
paved provincial highway described as follows:

Signs indicating the maximum speed allowed shall be erected at the commencement
of the speed zone area and signs shall be erected showing the end of the speed zone
area.

Any person who contravenes any of the provisions of this bylaw shall be guilty of
an offense and shall be liable on summary conviction to the penalties in the General
Penalty Bylaw of the municipality.
10.
That Bylaw 12-2017, 10-2021, 5-2022 and 6-2023 be hereby repealed.
