## Rural Municipality of Cana No. 214
Bylaw No. 8/2019
## A Bylaw to Regulate the Speed of Motor Vehicles
The Council of the Rural Municipality of Cana No. 214, of the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:
1. This Bylaw shall be referred to as "The Speed Limit Bylaw"
2. In this Bylaw:
- a. "public highway" means a public highway as defined by The Highways and Transportation Act, 1997;
4. "motor vehicle" means a motor vehicle as defined by or pursuant to The Traffic Safety Act.
3. No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a speed greater than seventy (70) kilometers per hour on a public highway at the following locations:
- a. Brewer Road from Highway #47 east 15 miles to Highway #9
4. No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a speed greater than thirty (30) kilometers per hour on a public highway within the limits of the Special Service Area of Otthon.
5. This Bylaw shall not apply to the operator of a fire engine, fire department apparatus or any other emergency vehicle when on duty.
6. Signs indicating the maximum speed allowed shall be erected on all the aforementioned road within the Rural Municipality of Cana No. 214 and shall be placed at the point of entry or commencement of the speed zone
7. Bylaw No. 7-80 is hereby repealed.
8. That this Bylaw shall come into force and take effect on the day of final passing.
