BYLAW NO. 2015-11
A BYLAW TO REGULATE THE SPEED OF MOTOR VEHICLES
The Council of the Rural Municipality of Pense No. 160, in the Province
of Saskatchewan enacts as follows:
1.
In this bylaw the expression:
(a) "public highway" shall have the meaning ascribed to it by The
Highways and Transportation Act, 1997, but shall not include a
provincial highway as designated pursuant to such Act:
(b) "motor vehicle" shall have the meaning ascribed to it by The
Highway Traffic Act.
2.
No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a greater speed than 40
kilometres per hour on that portion of a public highways described
as follows:
- the special road located within section 28, 31, 32-18-24 W2; and
- the east/west road located within the south half section 32-18-24 W2.
3.
No person shall operate a motor vehicle at a greater speed than 60
kilometres per hour on that portion of the public highway as described as
follows:
- Grid 642 (north/south road) between the #1 Highway and the
northern boundary of the R.M. of Pense No. 160.

Signs indicating the maximum speed allowed shall be erected at the
commencement of the speed zone area and signs shall be erected
showing the end of the speed zone area.
4.
Any person who contravenes any of the provision of this bylaw is
guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to the
penalties provided in the general penalty bylaw of this municipality.
5.
Bylaw No. 7-01 is hereby repealed.
