BUILDING PERMIT FEES AND REQUIREMENTS
All new building construction, attached and detached garages with a second level must have
two sets of Architectural Plans and a surveyor's certificate with the Application for a Building
Permit.
Approval will be given after the Building Inspector has reviewed your Permit and Plans. You will
be invoiced after the Building Inspector has approved your permit.
There will be two fees - one for the Building Inspector Fees and one for the Resort Village of
Sun Valley Fees.
Sun Valley Fees - $200.00 for new homes and garages.
The Building Inspector Fees will vary accordingly to work done which include:
a. Plan Review
b. Progress Inspections:
Foundation Inspection
Framing Inspection
Vapour Barrier Inspection
Final Inspection
All other permits which do not require a Building Inspector are $100.00 (sheds, decks, etc.)
ALL GARAGES MUST HAVE A PLOT PLAN OR SURVEYOR'S CERTIFICATE.
