How tall can my fence be? Do I need a fence around my pool?
In the Town of Wilkie, Saskatchewan, fences & pool enclosures rules are set by Town of Wilkie Swimming Pool Bylaw No. 2020-12, verified 2026-09-27. Pool enclosure: Enclosure required; gates six (6) feet high, self-closing and self-latching, with locking device; gaps not exceed four (4) inches.

Private pool/hot tub enclosures require a 6ft (1.8m) fence with max 4-inch gaps, self-closing/self-latching/locking gate swinging outward, and a 3ft walkway around the pool; a Pool Development Permit is required.
Fence/hedge height max 1.0m in the required front yard, 2.0m in side/rear yards; swimming pools separately need a non-climbable fence at least 1.8m high with a gate at least 1.5m from the pool.
