sight triangle On a corner lot, in any residential district, nothing shall be erected, placed, planted, or allowed to grow so as to obscure vision at a height of 1 metre or greater above the elevation of the centre of the abutting street within a triangular area formed by the intersecting lot lines abutting the streets and a straight line joining said lot lines at points 4.5 metres distant from the intersection of the lot lines. In C1, C2, M or FUD Districts, no wall, fence, screen, hedge or other structure shall be placed so as to create a visual obstruction in an established intersection sight triangle. s. 4.5; s. 4.7.5

Bans planting a tree, hedge or shrub within 15 feet of a street intersection, and lets Council order an owner to remove or trim any tree/hedge/shrub within that zone to under 3 feet, at the owner's expense if they refuse.
